Johnstown Neighborhoods New Construction
Johnstown started as a rich agricultural development in 1907, predominately platted by the Parish Family formerly of Loveland. Knowing that the Great Western Railroad was building a railroad through Weld County for sugar beet transportation, HJ Parish jumped at the opportunity to create a city along the way, and the town quickly grew up. Still largely supportive of the agricultural industry in western Weld county, Johnstown is becoming a bedroom community to surrounding larger communities, due to its inexpensive housing and small town feel.
